Parón Lake.- Considered the largest lagoon in the Cordillera Blanca, it has turquoise-green freshwater and a depth of 75 m. From the viewpoint, you can see mountains such as the Garcilaso Pyramid, the Huandoys, Artesonraju, the Aguja, and Caraz.

Itinerary
Huaraz / Parón Lake / Huaraz (4,200 m)
Departure at 8:00 a.m. We will visit the northern part of the Callejón de Huaylas. We will arrive in Caraz and detour to the eastern side of the Cordillera Blanca mountain range, passing through the villages of Shocsha and Parón. We will arrive at the entrance to the Parón ravine. We will pay S/. 10.00 for a one-day visit. We will then ascend with our transportation to Parón Lagoon (4,200 m). We will begin our 45-minute hike to the viewpoint (4,400 m). From here, we have a panoramic view of the lagoon and the mountains, such as: Garcilaso Pyramid, the Huandoys, Artesonraju, the Needle, and the Caraz. After taking lots of photos and enjoying the scenery and surroundings, we'll return to our transportation for the return trip to Huaraz.
What Do I Need to Bring?
Bring appropriate clothing for both daytime (hot weather) and nighttime (cold weather), sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, swimwear, a first-aid kit, walking shoes, a camera, a small backpack, and a headlamp (flashlight).
