Contrahierbas Sur (Mateo).- Considered as an acclimatization mountain, a mountain for people who want to start mountaineering, it has a demanding medium difficulty. From the summit you can see different peaks of the Cordillera Blanca Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Chacraraju, artesonraju, hualcan and including alpamayo.

Day 1 Huaraz / Punta Olímpica Tunnel (4,736 m) / Summit (5,150 m) / Tunnel

Departure 3:00 am pick up from the hotel with our private transportation and we will head towards the north of the city of Huaraz towards Carhuaz and then detour along the route to Chacas transportation duration 2 hours to the Punta Olímpica tunnel 4,737 m from At this place we will begin to ascend the rocky moraine until we reach the glacier, after putting on our mountain equipment and rope ourselves we will begin to climb the normal route to the summit, after resting, eating and taking photos we will return to the moraine and then to our transportation, transfer to huaraz for 2 hours.
